Join Dr. Chase Cunningham in an explanation of why companies should move away from VPNs and toward zero-trust network access (ZTNA) solutions.

In a talk, cybersecurity expert Dr. Chase Cunningham explains why companies should move away from VPNs and toward zero-trust network access (ZTNA) solutions. ZTNA involves using software and policy engines to wrap user and device information into protocol packets and push them to where they need to go without adding hardware. Three major benefits of using ZTNA include:

  • Low control capability: ZTNA can enable very granular control by applying policy controls using telemetry to verify user, device, and access requests
  • Speed and scale: ZTNA is a strategy for verifying the three elements required for zero-trust security (user, device, access request) at scope and scale
  • Adaptability: ZTNA is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It can be tailored to different models, and can be implemented with a variety of technologies, including open source
