Vendor-Agnostic Zero Trust Remote Operations in Maritime
Course
Billy Moore explores centralized secure access solutions for maritime OT systems, addressing IACS requirements and critical infrastructure protection.
Maritime vessels today are an amalgamation of many separate vendor OT systems, and every system is critically important for the safety of the passengers and crew. Providing secure remote access to these systems helps to ensure safety and reliability, but historically has been driven by each OT vendor. With the new regulations from IACS Unified Requirements 26 and 27, maritime organizations will be responsible for the security and auditability of these remote systems. This requirement is a driving force in the centralization of secure (zero trust) access to these systems. This session will explore the driving factors, challenges and solutions for a large maritime entity on their journey to centralize secure remote access to critical OT systems.
