Bridging IT and OT: Securing SAP to Protect Operational Continuity

Course

Christoph Nagy of SecurityBridge examines how SAP vulnerabilities create direct paths to OT disruption and what a holistic SAP security program must cover to protect operational continuity.

SAP has become the digital backbone of modern manufacturing - connecting sales orders, production lines, logistics, automated storage and supplier ecosystems in ways that make it both operationally critical and a high-value attack target. The Jaguar Land Rover incident, triggered by a single unpatched SAP vulnerability, caused an estimated £1.8 billion in damages and demonstrated how deeply an ERP compromise can reach into OT operations.

This session examines how attackers exploit SAP interfaces, credentials and configuration weaknesses to disrupt production.

In this session, led by Christoph Nagy of SecurityBridge, you will learn:

  • How SAP integrations with OT devices and production lines create direct paths to operational disruption;
  • Why SAP patch management is uniquely complex, and why the window from patch release to exploitation is shrinking;
  • What end-to-end SAP security requires across vulnerability management, code scanning and continuous threat detection.
