Operationalizing Cybersecurity on the Shop Floor
Course
Denis Ponomarev of Siemens Energy shares a practical OT security playbook - from Business Impact Assessment and Threat Risk Analysis to shop-floor cyber drills - for embedding cybersecurity into daily factory operations.
Security policy is written in boardrooms but executed on factory floors, and the gap between the two is where incidents happen. This session moves beyond high-level strategy to deliver a practical playbook for embedding cybersecurity into daily OT operations.
In this session, led by Denis Ponomarev of Siemens Energy, you will learn:
- How to translate high-level security policies into shop-floor reality through Business Impact Assessment and Threat Risk Analysis, and how a self-assessment monitoring framework keeps more than 100 factories continuously visible and prioritized;
- How to implement robust processes for managing contractor access, removable media, secure configuration and network segmentation;
- How to develop role-specific cyber drills and tabletop exercises that bring IT, OT and factory management into the same room, test incident readiness across the full crisis response chain, and produce actionable recommendations for communication and recovery.
