Resilience Across Connected IT-OT Environments

Course

Rachel Bondi of the US Navy explains how the Navy is modernizing connected IT-OT environments through zero trust, cloud architecture, secure APIs, automation and identity-driven cyber resilience.

Navy afloat networks have grown through decades of ship-by-ship and system-by-system deployment, creating isolated applications, inconsistent services and vulnerable IT-OT environments. As zero trust mandates, unmanned systems and AI-enabled threats accelerate operational demands, cyber resilience now depends on identity-driven access, portable software and secure data movement in contested environments.

This session, led by Rachel Bondi, CTO - PAE Mission Systems, Tactical Networks, US Navy, will cover:

  • How the Naval Afloat Cloud Architecture unifies application development, secure APIs, identity services and policy-governed gateways across naval platforms;
  • How zero trust changes Navy cybersecurity from network-based access to identity-driven protection for applications, data and mission systems;
  • How automation, distributed operations and AI-enabled defense support faster decision cycles across disconnected and contested environments.
